It typically takes several days to complete the trek, and it can be physically challenging due to the high altitude and rugged terrain. Climbing Deo Tibba itself is a more technical and demanding endeavor, requiring proper equipment and experience in mountaineering.

 

Itinary

Day 1: Arrival in Manali

  • Arrive in Manali, which serves as the base for Deo Tibba trek.
  • Acclimatize to the altitude.
  • Check your gear and meet your trekking team if you have one.

Day 2: Manali to Jobra (Drive) and Trek to Chika

  • Drive from Manali to Jobra (approximately 1-2 hours).
  • Start the trek from Jobra to Chika (3,100 meters).
  • Trekking distance: 2-3 hours.

Day 3: Chika to Seri

  • Trek from Chika to Seri (3,950 meters).
  • The trail passes through lush meadows and forested areas.
  • Trekking distance: 5-6 hours.

Day 4: Seri to Tenta

  • Trek from Seri to Tenta (4,300 meters).
  • The terrain becomes rockier as you gain altitude.
  • Trekking distance: 4-5 hours.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day at Tenta

  • Take a rest day to acclimatize to the higher altitude.
  • You can go on short hikes to nearby viewpoints to help with acclimatization.

Day 6: Tenta to Deo Tibba Base Camp

  • Trek from Tenta to Deo Tibba Base Camp (4,900 meters).
  • The trail becomes steeper as you approach the base camp.
  • Trekking distance: 4-5 hours.

Day 7: Deo Tibba Base Camp to Deo Tibba Advance Base Camp

  • Trek from Deo Tibba Base Camp to Deo Tibba Advance Base Camp (5,200 meters).
  • This is a challenging day of trekking.
  • Trekking distance: 4-5 hours.

Day 8: Summit Day (Deo Tibba) and Return to Deo Tibba Base Camp

  • Early morning start for the summit attempt.
  • Summit Deo Tibba (6,001 meters) if weather conditions and your fitness permit.
  • Descend to the Deo Tibba Base Camp the same day.
  • Summiting Deo Tibba is a technical climb and should only be attempted by experienced mountaineers.

Day 9: Deo Tibba Base Camp to Tenta

  • Descend from Deo Tibba Base Camp to Tenta.
  • Trekking distance: 4-5 hours.

Day 10: Tenta to Chika

  • Trek from Tenta to Chika.
  • Trekking distance: 4-5 hours.

Day 11: Chika to Jobra (Trek) and Drive to Manali

  • Trek from Chika to Jobra.
  • Drive back to Manali from Jobra.
  • Trekking distance: 2-3 hours.

Day 12: Departure

  • Depart from Manali or continue with your onward journey.
